An Introduction Nicknamed the "Asian Clark Gable", Tony Leung started his film career as a comedy actor on television before proving his dramatic talent in a series of showy, award-winning supporting roles, including the undercover cop in John Woo's Hard Boiled. He then graduated to lead roles in a succession of superb Wong Kar Wai films; he won the Best Actor award at Cannes for his lovelorn cuckold in In The Mood For Love, and was never better than in Happy Together, playing a gay man in a decaying relationship. He enjoyed both commercial and critical success, again as an undercover cop, in the thriller Infernal Affairs .
