Vampire Films
The silent era kicked off the Vampire film genre, immortalising the form we know today. The earliest appearance was in Vignola's The Vampire in 1913 with Vampires being a horror staple ever since. The most notorious blood sucker, Count Dracula, has notched up over 160 film representations making him the most frequently portrayed character in horror films.
