Film Description

An excellent script (by Philip and Julius Epstein), freely adapted from an F Scott Fitzgerald story, and expert direction enhance this lavish MGM melodrama. Liz Taylor looks her glamorous best, and Pidgeon's performance as her penniless father who still manages to live the high life is a standout.
