The Onion Field - A tough and engrossing thriller from Joseph Wambaugh

Film Description

A tough and engrossing thriller from Joseph Wambaugh's novel. Based on the real life case of a Los Angeles cop murdered by two hijackers, and his partner who escaped the eponymous scene of the crime to help bring the perpetrators to justice. But when the killers are granted a successful appeal the surviving cop experiences a 7 year nightmare as he is called repeatedly to the witness box, haunted by the events surrounding the onion field.
