Film Description

A policeman investigates a series of murders in the village of Sleepy Hollow in the 1700s. The victims bodies have been found without their heads. Legend has it that a headless horseman who roams the woods is responsible... Characteristically, this is a cinematic feast of a film from Tim Burton, combining fantastic visual effects and dreamlike gothic imagery. Working again with Depp, who is terrific as Ichabod Crane, the prissy and insightful detective figure, and with a roster of fine supporting performances. The stunning visual design and beautifully evoked gothic atmosphere never overwhelm the intriguing story.
