Review by anonymous on 8th June 2000 The last Indian to surrender to the United States fights a one man war. His name is Geronimo. Aldrich's first Western and his first collaboration with Burt Lancaster, a typically robust and exciting film set in 1886 with Lancaster as one of the captured Geronimo's braves, launching a fresh attack but succumbing to capture and being forced to adapt. The alienation of the American Indian is charted with depth and intelligence as Lancaster find himself torn between two worlds, that of the white man and traditional Apache ways.
Review by anonymous on 11th April 2000 I think Jean Peters was excellent in this movie. Her acting is not of the old-school, but has the natural and fresh approach of today's top actresses. View more reviews by anonymous
