Film Description

Seminal, angry, funny, despairing, politicised drama from the pen of Alan Bleasdale. A group of men are gradually stripped of their dignity, hope and even in one case family by the unending oppression of unemployment. Despite the grim outline, this is deeply compassionate, and frequently comical drama, with absolutely superb performances.
