Your Friends And Neighbors
Film Description Ever degraded your best friend in public? Tried emotionally eviscerating someone in a supermarket aisle? With his film about three couples having affairs behing their partner's backs proclaiming itself to be 'a modern immorality tale', LaBute's eye for human cruelty is Jacobean.

Review by wynter on 12th May 2000 for those looking for a comparison with in the company of men (company): a seriously vicious piece of work, jason patric excellent indeed, as are the rest of the cast. if you're seeking the claustrobopic intensity i found in company, you may be disapointed - due to its focus on a wider range (and number) of characters. I did find that its intense moments hit 'heights,' however, that company hinted at. I left the cinema feeling distressed, thoroughly put through the wringer, and above all, thinking. one of those films i would wish upon those people who will in all probability never see it - and be affected by it.
