Film Description

NY's Lower East Side in the early 80s saw an explosion of the downtown film scene exploring new, direct and confrontational cinematic forms. The manifesto for the Cinema of Transgression aimed to break all taboos of cinematic expression, conservative religion, politics and aesthetics.
