Little Caesar
Film Description Seminal film that inspired the whole classic Warner Bros gangster cycle of the 1930s, with Edward G. memorably nasty as Rico, the monstrous leader responsible for the overreaching ambitions of his criminal gang in Prohibition era America. Memorably described by source novel author WR Burnett as being "a gutter Macbeth" it's also pacily and astutely directed by Le Roy.
