Film Description

When a destroyer is sunk by a German dive-bomber, its crew are forced to abandon ship. Led by their captain, this stirring tribute to Britgrit at its most cornered has, in amongst the brutal detail, moments of genuine inspiration.

Noel Coward co-directed, wrote and starred in this patriotic World War II drama, and was awarded a Special Oscar for 'outstanding production achievement'.
