As a elderly Irishman I remember well the way Ireland was at the time that the quiet man portrayed. The movie was a treat to watch and brought back many happy memories. Sadly Ireland has changed and not for the good, but I suppose they call this progress. The younger generation of Ireland have missed the real old Ireland - a great pity.
