Review by anonymous on 20th October 2003 "Men like my father cannot die. They are with me still, real in memory as they were in flesh, loving and beloved forever. How green was my valley then." As inspiring today as it was in 1941, famously beating Citizen Kane to the Best Picture Oscar. Winning 5 Oscars in total, including Best Director and Cinematography, this acclaimed screen classic tells of one family's struggles, dreams and triumphs in a small Welsh mining town. A sure-fire winter warmer. Incidentally, this reviewer's Grandfather's favourite movie.
