Film Description

A classic war documentary shot by Harry Watt and the Crown Film Unit in 1941 and illustrating the work of Bomber Command. The film takes a close look at No. 149 Squadron at RAF Mildenhall (here renamed Millerton) and their Wellington bomber raids on Germany. Although by the end of the war most of the crew filmed had been killed, the film was valuable in showing, during an uncertain period of the war when Britain was suffering nightly air-raids, that she was also succesfully taking the fight to the enemy.
