Film Description

A celebration of British playwright Joe Orton's irreverent and charismatic talent, telling the story of Joe's rise from a working class boy to peer of the Beatles and cult figure of London's Swinging 60s. The story is told through the eyes of his agent and abusive lover, Kenneth Halliwell. Alan Bennett's script perfectly judges its mixture of pathos, vulgarity and humour and Molina just about eclipses everyone else as the funny, tragic, self-loathing and ultimately murderous Kenneth Halliwell.
