Theatre Of Blood
Film Description An overlooked Shakespearean ham actor takes fitting revenge on his harshest critics by despatching them in methods inspired by the Bard. A wonderful, deliberately overblown, gleeful romp, with a fabulous cast throwing themselves into their roles, and some perfectly staged thrills and spills. The sword fight on a trampoline, the poodle pie, and the obligatory fiery climax are all stand out moments, but the whole thing is a joy from start to finish. Also a very good way for sneaky scholars to remind themselves which play is which.
