Film Description

A stunning adventure story based on AEW Mason’s iconic novel set against the backdrop of the 1898 Battle of Omdurman in the Sudan, The Four Feathers is an action-filled military epic in which a young British army officer fights to preserve his honour after being branded a coward during the war in Egypt in 1898. The film also makes full use of the emergent Technicolor process and was nominated for Best Colour Cinematography at the 1940 Academy Awards.
