Film Description

Almost criminally, the pyrotechnical showpiece effects didn't garner an Oscar, but the editing and photography did, and Fred Astaire and the score by John Williams both scooped a Bafta apiece. A thrilling spectacle, and a finely crafted adventure movie, but also a chance to play "guess who isn't going to make it through to the end of the picture."
