Film Description

Sir Ernest Shackleton's heroic attempt to cross the Antarctic in 1914-16 which turned into a struggle for survival for a small group of men. This important episode in the history of exploration was filmed by Frank Hurley, and was restored using a wide range of materials, with tinting and toning applied to match the original prints.
