Film Description Midsummer, 1900. Three couples meet up one weekend at an actress' country estate. Eating, drinking and talking together, they grow to know each other, and husbands dally and wives stray. Having no illusions about the spells which love can weave, Bergman plies his excuses and her schemes with a knowing eye.
