The Tit And The Moon

The Tit And The Moon - A comical, surreal drama set in a Catalan resort which follows a nine year-old boy

This film is not currently available on DVD.

Film Description

A comical, surreal drama set in a Catalan resort which follows a nine year-old boy's sexual awakening through his search for the perfect breast. He is consumed with jealousy at his baby brother's monopoly of his mum's nipples. After asking the moon for a breast of his own, his prayers seem to be answered with the arrival of a beautiful French dancer. He is not the only one who desires her affection though and finds himself competing with both Maurice and Miguel.

Review by Maryon Davies on 25th May 2006

I viewed this film with some trepidation, having read reviews from some writers who condemned it as falling little short of pornography. Nothing could be further from the truth! Granted, it is the perceptions of a young boy's sexual awakenings, but the whole film is imbued with a sense of love, humour and wit, which give rise to a genuine 'feel good' factor. At the end I had a huge grin on my face, and felt a better person for having seen it. What more can one say? Except that I am no spikey-haired film buff but a 50-something (female) lecturer with two grown-up kids! I rest my case.
