The Return of Martin Guerre
Film Description Based on a true story and set in the 16th century, a young man returns home to his wife and native village after disappearing several years earlier. Although much changed from the quiet boy who left he is readily accepted back, particularly by his wife - until the question of an inheritance arises and he is accused of being an imposter. Winner of 3 Cesars, turned into a West End musical and remade in Hollywood as Summersby.
