Fitzcarraldo
Film Description An intense and enthralling portrait of a driven man obsessed with capturing a shipping route on the Amazon, even though it means hauling a boat over a mountain through hostile tribal territory and defeating seemingly impossible obstacles. The boat was, of course, hauled over the mountain for real in the making of the film - Herzog's most notorious filming feat.
