Masculin Feminin
Film Description Set in De Gaulle's succesful 1966 election year, Godard examines the attitudes and lifestyles of an emerging protest generation of French youth in fifteen precise segments with astonishing style and comedic prowess. Paul, just out of the army and politically aware, is in love with an aspiring pop star, Madeleine. Godard contrasts the two as consumerism versus emerging youthful political idealism.
