The original version of George Sluizer’s masterpiece. A Dutch couple are on a driving holiday in France. Whilst stopped at a service station the woman vanishes without trace or explanation. Fortunately this trend is gradually being reversed, and this guide pinpoints the essential world cinema horror DVDs currently available, which rely on directorial skill rather than blood and guts to engender terror.
