Under The Skin
Film Description In her first major role, Morton is Iris. Unable to cope with her mother's death and alienated from a happily-married sister, she ditches her job and her boyfriend, dons her wig and goes looking for love in all the wrong places. Carrying the movie along like an incendiary device, Iris has to be one of the most passionate heroines ever caught on film by a BFI grant.

Review by zeus on 4th March 2005 A fragile but beautifully documented account of a young Liverpool woman's life after the death of her mother. Quirky, but critically observed. Morton is outstanding.
Review by BW on 12th June 1999 Never has a more complete downward spiral been set on celuloid. The question remains - can she pull out of the dive?
