The Crucible
Film Description The film does justice to Arthur Miller's play which was initially produced to point out similarities between the Witch-hunts of the 1690s and McCarthyism of the 1950s. The relationship between Abigail and John Proctor is effective at creating a focus for the town's close-minded and godfearing society.

Review by Margaret Caddy on 19th May 2004 Interesting, it's definitely a one-see film though.
