Film Description

A deserved box office success, with an intelligent script, fine production values, and a couple of excellent performances. Jagger won an Oscar, Peck was nominated, as was the picture, and the film stands as a fine study of men under pressure. Peck is commanding a US bomber base in wartime Britain, and begins to crack under the responsibility.
