Moulin Rouge (1952)
Film Description Jose Ferrer makes a touching Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec in this beautifully-staged portrait of his life in fin de siècle Paris, in which much of Oswald Morris's cinematography was intended to resemble Lautrec's poster art. Ferrer plays both the painter, frustrated by the deformity of his legs and seeking solace in drink and low life, and also his father.
