Film Description

Told in flashback and spanning thirty years, this is the sweeping story of a romance that survived decades, vast distances and the ravages of war. Eskimo Avik is confined to hospital, where he meets Albertine, a young Metis girl. They fall in love, but their cross-cultural relationship is disapproved of by their peers.
