Film Description

Aka Le Tombeau D'Alexandre. Marker investigates the work of the Soviet filmmaker Alexander Medvedkin, whose articulate inventiveness was seen a subversive and whose films went mostly unmentioned in official histories. This is also Marker's attempt to come to terms with the collusion of cinema with Stalinist atrocities.
