Film Description

Aka Une belle fille comme moi. Whilst researching his thesis on criminal women, naïve young sociologist Stanislas Previne (André Dussollier in his first leading role) embarks on a programme of interviews with prisoners. He listens to the story of Camille Bliss (Bernadette Lafont) – a tale of affairs, deceit and murder which begins with patricide at the age of nine – and with which he becomes entangled. As Truffaut said of his black comedy, it's 'a feminist film, but unconventionally so'.
