Last Tango In Paris
Film Description Notoriously on initial release, Tango broke new ground in its frank depiction and discussions of sex. Chiefly notable for Brando's stunning performance as an American in Paris undergoing a mid-life crisis following his wife's suicide, who embarks on a series of increasingly depraved sexual encounters with a young woman. Brando's towering acting carries the weight of great confessional poetry, and the downbeat mood is reflected in Gato Barbieri's plaintive saxophone score.
