Film Description A former pizza delivery guy embarks on a new career as a taxi driver in a car so fast even police radar can't spot him. When he unwittingly gives a high-speed ride to police officer Emilien, he is forced to accept a deal to keep his licence. Now, Daniel becomes the unlikely mastermind behind an investigation into a gang of German bank robbers. Produced by Luc Besson and with a great French hip-hop soundtrack.

Review by anon on 2nd May 2000 Taxi was great at the cinema and will transfer well to the small(ish!) screen. Set on the bustling roads of Marcella, the action follows its two leads - one a cab driver without a licence, the other a cop without a clue - as they are forced together to track down a group of German bank robbers, the Mercedes Gang. Awesome action, great characters and a wicked sense of humour all combine to make this an action thriller that's fun not dumb. The French come up with another good one, and the end will surprise and amuse its way into your memory long after it ends.
