Film Description

Adapted by, directed by and starring Kenneth Branagh. As one of the producers describes it, "light and effervescent, like a champagne cocktail." Set mostly during the lead-up to World War II, it incorporates song and dance numbers with music by Gershwin, Porter, and Berlin. Joyous, funny, moving, only 90 minutes long, it could easily be longer without boring its audience. AK
