Review by Andy Mckay on 8th April 2004

At once disturbing and enthralling, Pola X remains with you hours after you've seen it in much the same way as a disquieting dream does. Indeed, dreamlike is appropriate here, the film shot through with a druggy, surreal quality that is somehow both fascinating and creepy.

Pierre's discovery of a family secret leads to him meeting the sister he never knew he had, leading to a drastic change of circumstances in his life and moral dilemma.
Aided by a quite outstanding soundtrack by Scott Walker, Pola X is a memorable piece of cinema.
