Film Description

The entire sixth series of the popular television show. In 'Rumpole a la Carte', despite telling a restaurateur that his restaurant is pretentious, Rumpole (Leo McKern) finds himself handling the man's divorce. In 'Rumpole and the Summer of Discontent', Rumpole becomes involved in a trade union dispute after his Chambers decides to down-size. 'Rumpole and the Right to Silence' finds him defending an accused murderer from his niece's college. 'Rumpole at Sea' finds the Rumpoles on a second honeymoon but things do not run smoothly. 'Rumpole and the Quacks' sees Rumpole taking to bed and being cared for by a doctor, who in turn looks to Rumpole when he needs defending in court. And finally, in 'Rumpole for the Prosecution' Rumpole switches from defending to prosecuting.
