Film Description

Directed by John Byrne from his own play for the BBC Play for Today series, this semi-autobiographical rites-of-passage tale is set in a Paisley carpet factory in the late 1950s, where apprentice designers Spanky and Hector mix the dyes for the carpet designers and look forward to the staff dance.
