Film Description

Nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film 2008, Beaufort tells the story of a young Israeli outpost commander and his troops who are left to defend a 12th century crusader fort prior to Israel's pull out from Lebanon in 2000. Under a constant barrage of Hezbollah rockets, the soldiers become weary of their mission's purpose in this powerful depiction of the futility of war.
