Film Description

A production of Richard Strauss's opera 'Arabella' performed by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra; conducted by Sir Georg Solti. The cast includes Gundula Janowitz, Bernd Weikl, Rene Kollo and Sona Ghazarian, and it is directed by Otto Schenk, who makes an intimate film of Strauss’s comedy of manners, set in mid-19th century Vienna.
