Film Description

A young man suffers an existential crisis and decides to undertake the noviate, a period of spiritual training leading to the priesthood. After entering a Venetian monastic order, he is faced with suspicion and distrust as his brethren seek any flaw that will disqualify him from ordination. This beautifully photographed, critically acclaimed drama received the Golden Hugo award at the Chicago film festival.
