Film Description

Art Lives, from Arthaus, is a powerful and arresting series of documentaries on artists and art movements released for the first time on DVD in the English language.

Didier Baussy-Oulianoff presents Picasso's paintings according to period, and tries to establish what inspired them. Baussy’s analysis also explains why some of the paintings on display were so close to Picasso’s heart that he never sold them, preferring to hold on to them until he died.
