Film Description

The entire second series of the rural, medical drama. Set in 1950's Britain, BORN AND BRED follows the lives of a father and son doctor team in a time of post war optimism. James Bolam stars as GP Arthur Gilder, the father who's lived in the same village of Ormston all of his life. He's managed to persuade his son Tom (Michael French) to follow in his footsteps. Arthur has moved in with Tom and his young family, but can't resist a bit of fatherly interference occasionally. There's drama too, when Tom's mother-in-law Dora pays a visit, and there's a village wedding with lots of hitches.
