An accident at work traps him further in his private hell, and he desperately needs to find out what is happening to him.

Wonderland (James Cox, 2003)
Taking up where Boogie Nights left off, this follows porn man John Holmes's career into drug-addled decline and implication in quadruple homicide.

The Woodsman (Nicole Kassell, 2004)
A characteristically brave role for Bacon as he plays a released paedophile who tries to fit back into society. As a film it doesn't shy away from difficult questions and also avoids easy answers in its attempt to understand the man's character and compulsion.
