Film Description

Accomplished German mystery/thriller, with a superb performance from Nina Hoss in the title role. Following a near-death experience, Yella (Nina Hoss) flees her eastern German hometown and broken marriage to start over in Hanover. After finding work with an ambitious young executive, Yella enters a ruthless business world. But soon ghosts from her past threaten to return to destroy her new life.
