Film Description

As 36-year old Dito (Robert Downey Jr) looks back on his childhood with Laurie (Rosario Dawson), we are whisked off to the sweltering New York City summer of 1986, a city at melting point.

Nestled between Brooklyn, Bronx and Queens lies the NYC borough of Queens, 16-year old Dito's battlefield, playground, school and home.

Running in the street with his gang of misfit friends, Dito quickly learns there is more to life than hanging on his corner. With a violent turf-war on the cards, staying in Queens will either leave him dead or in prison.

But with a father who will do anything to keep him at home, and a mother who is powerless to help, this is one war Dito will have to fight on his own.
