Rumpole and the Confession of Guilt
Film Description The first Rumpole, in the form of a "Play for Today' made three years before the popular series. In it, barrister Horace Rumpole defends a young black man who has been accused of a stabbing. Although he has signed a confession, Rumpole doesn't think it's legitimate. After learning that the boy was neglected by his father, Rumpole starts to think about his relationship to his own son. Written by John Mortimer.
