Film Description

When Ben du Toit gardener's son is brutally beaten up by the police at a demonstration by black schoolchildren, he gradually begins to realise the extent to which his apartheid society in South Africa is based on injustice and exploitation. This film follows his journey through bewilderment and revelation to disgust and an attempt to fight the system. Based on the novel by André Brink.
