Film Description

Leo McKern stars in this long-running series as Horace Rumpole, an eccentric London defence lawyer. Rumpole must contend with various difficult cases and, of course, his wife.

In the second series, Rumpole successfully clears a vicar of a shoplifting charge, proves a case of mistaken identity and defends a known Fascist on a charge under the Race Relations Act. All the while answering to “She Who Must Be Obeyed”.
