Film Description

Martin can be very good but when he's bad he becomes a child with the mind of a psychopath. He's already killed his stepfather and his landlady and now he's after Susan. "Cleaver. Cleaver. Chop. I remember seeing this film when it first came out. Old age and memory loss causes me to forget most of it but I remember a stunning scene where the completely red screen focuses down to a single human chromosome....
There is also a tune which is whistled during the film; haunted me for days after.
I have heard exactly the same tune used in a film more recently but can't remember which film that was, but instantly remembered The Twisted Nerve.
Hayley Mills is brilliant. Its good to see that her films are now available again. She was definitely a star of the sixties.
Was it "X" rated back in 1968, or "A"?
